Hairspring 1.0.2 keeps repeatability evidence with each measurement

A repeatability verdict is more useful when the evidence that produced it remains attached to the measurement. Version 1.0.2 now preserves that record in History and in the PDF receipt.

The practical change: measure the same watch twice, complete the verification, and the saved measurement now retains both readings, both fit uncertainties, the agreement limit, the verdict, and the analysis version.

What the saved verification contains

Hairspring estimates each rate from many detected beats and reports the statistical uncertainty of that fit. During a completed two-run check, it combines both uncertainties and compares the observed difference with an agreement limit. Version 1.0.2 keeps the inputs and decision together instead of leaving only a transient on-screen result.

The same evidence is available later in History and in the PDF measurement receipt, making it easier to review the test or share it with a watchmaker without reconstructing what happened from memory.

What agreement does—and does not—prove

Two agreeing readings support repeatability under those test conditions. They do not prove calibration against a known reference, and they do not predict the watch's full-day performance on the wrist. Position, state of wind, temperature, placement, and signal quality can all change the result.

If two readings disagree, control the setup before drawing a conclusion. Keep the watch in the same position and wind state, leave the phone untouched on the same hard surface, and remove competing ticking sounds. The repeatability guide explains the comparison, and the free calculator lets you inspect the same agreement formula without installing the app.

If Hairspring cannot hear or lock onto the watch, use the signal troubleshooting guide, which maps each live diagnosis to the next setup step.
